The two cottages date back to the early 1700s and can be rented together for larger parties or separately. Built in a local stone, both cottages have a great deal of character and beautiful views over the river. Both have been renovated in a traditional style, keeping all the original features including, beamed ceilings, stone walls and tiled and wooden floors.
Approached through a traditional stepped alleyway, both cottages have fully fitted kitchens with dishwasher (#4), fridge and microwave and benefit from central heating and beautiful log fires for cooler days. Each cottage has a terrace with BBQ for lazy summer evenings to watch the sun go down after another wonderful day.
No 4 is entered via the tiled hallway, with the shower room leading off to the left. Through the hall you reach the fully-equipped kitchen with a large dining table. From here a door leads outside to the two tiered terrace – giving splendid views over the river Lot. Wooden stairs lead up from the hallway in to the main sitting, room which features a large open fireplace with "Godin" wood burning stove and satellite TV with DVD. The two double bedrooms lead off from the sitting room. Click on the photos below to enlarge the images.
No 6 is entered via a modern, well equipped kitchen with a small dining table and an original stone sink. The shower room leads off from the kitchen. A stone staircase leads up to the first floor sitting room with an open fireplace. Beside this is a family room (River Room) with satellite TV and views over the river Lot. This room has a sofa bed and is easily converted into a second bedroom for occasional guests. Here you can lay in bed and watch the moon light up the river Lot. In the sitting room a wooden staircase provides access to the master bedroom with double bed and wardrobe space.
